Kindly note that persons receiving a shot should wait at least 1-2 weeks after the jab before receiving a massage. Due to the nature of this drug and the fact that we do not have enough data showing the benefits and what may happen from the massage. Please do inform us of any adverse effects you have experienced. One major contra-indication is bruising from the shot, but this will have to be assessed as some massage treatments are not advised.

Balancingtouch will not be held responsible for any injury or death to you or any person while attending courses, workshops or gatherings at our premises for any reason whatsoever. Balancingtouch will not be held liable for any loss or damage to property while attending courses, workshops or gatherings at our premises. Balancingtouch will not tolerate the use of alcohol and illegal drugs on the premises or anyone under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs. Balancingtouch and the companies involved have a zero-tolerance approach to racist, violent, sexually deviant, sexually offensive or sexually suggestive behaviour, and we reserve the right of admission to all who do not abide by these terms and conditions. Should anyone be asked to be removed for any of the above reasons, a refund or reimbursement for the course/workshop will NOT be given, and charges may be pressed.

Your qualification as a practitioner falls under Natural Health and is not restricted by or affiliated with the Allied Health Alliance or any specific organisation. Your qualification is facilitated with full SETA-ETDP endorsement, and you are trained in the relevant legal SAQA unit standards to prove the legitimacy of your training and certification. Selected certifications re also internationally recognised & accredited by the Guild Training International. Your certificate gives you the right to practice safely and by the law, and your constitutional right to work with ethics and integrity to earn a living in this manner.

Balancingtouch will not be held liable, responsible or accountable for any consequences that may be brought on by misconduct or malpractice in your practice, although certification was awarded through Balancingtouch. Only upon receipt of payment will the candidate be registered to attend the courses/workshop. Course materials will only be issued on the day of the course, not prior. Payments and submissions must be made within seven working days before the start date. Course Package equipment will only be released once full payment is received. Class schedules are subject to change according to attendance and how the company sees fit. You will be notified in a timely manner should adjustments take place.

Course Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE, including packages. No fees will be refunded for any reason, whether you cancel a course/package or do not attend. A 30-day notice period is required for course cancellations; however, the fee will be credited towards your name and will not be refunded in monetary value. This credit may be used for upcoming courses or to buy products. Rescheduling missed classes without a medical reason and proof or notice before the start date will be chargeable at a fee of R700.00 per class rescheduled, and 50% of the course fee will be charged for rescheduling of the course if less than two weeks’ notice is given.

Balancingtouch reserves the right to conduct post-course assessments as they see fit, should assignments and practical and in-course practical hours not be completed according to best practice policies.

Balancingtouch reserves the right to withhold certificates/qualifications until the above mentioned has been documented and emailed to us correctly. Any students found NOT YET COMPETENT in their courses will need to redo the work, including practical hours or submit extra hours until they are deemed competent. Refresher courses within the same calendar year are complimentary. For refreshers taken more than 12 months after the original course date, a 50% re-registration fee applies.

Copyright infringement. Any course material duplication/extraction or presentation in any form, including, but not limited to, digital, hard copy, soft copy, media, etc., by non-employees is strictly prohibited, and this offence will result in severe legal action and fining. Filming of classes is strictly prohibited, and distribution of any media, including, but not limited to, audio or video, will result in a penalty fee and legal action. Electronic formatting of certificates/ qualifications is not allowed unless authorised by the principal head educator of Balancingtouch. By signing this document, you now acknowledge the abovementioned and know the chargeable fees and legal actions that may incur.

Payment Policy:

  • Students must make a 50% deposit when taking out packages.
  • For the International Therapist Package (ITP), the remainder must be settled by the 4th course, not the last course.
  • For the Massage Specialist Package (MSP), the remainder must be settled by the 4th course, not the last course.
  • For the Student Starter Package (SSP) and other 5-course packages, the remainder must be paid by the 3rd course.
  • For 3-course packages, payment must be completed before the 2nd course.
  • Please ensure timely payment to avoid disruptions to your course progression.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Any monies paid to Balancingtouch for courses or packages are non-refundable. Should you not continue your commitment, you will be able to voucher the amount or the courses and give it to someone else; alternatively, keep it on credit. Should there be another lockdown, monies are Non-Refundable and will be held on credit until we can resume. We will instruct you on the procedures should another lockdown take place soon.

To secure your place on a course or package, payment must be made in accordance with the schedule below.

  • A 50% deposit is required when booking any package.
  • International Therapist Package (ITP) – Remaining balance due by your 4th course.
  • Massage Specialist Package (MSP) – Remaining balance due by your 4th course.
  • Student Starter Package (SSP) & other 5-course packages – Remaining balance due by your 3rd course.
  • 3-course packages – Payment must be completed before your 2nd course.

Important Notes

  • All course and package fees are non-refundable for any reason, including cancellation or non-attendance.
  • If you choose not to continue, you may transfer your credit to another person or keep it on your account for future use.
  • In the event of a lockdown or similar disruption, fees remain non-refundable but will be held as credit until courses resume.
  • Late or incomplete payments may delay your access to classes, materials, or certification.

ACCREDITATION & AWARDS

The Centurion Academy (Gauteng/Pretoria)

Balancingtouch in Centurion Pretoria is situated near major routes from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The academy is in a safe, modern, upmarket facility with ample parking, 24/7 security and boom gates. It is near shopping malls and restaurants. They are within 2 km of the Centurion Gautrain station.

Our Centurion Academy hosts courses and workshops all year round (according to the course schedule). There are full-time classes from Mondays to Fridays and part-time classes on Saturdays and Sundays.

Classes run from 9 am to 1 pm. Spaces are limited to 10, and booking is essential.

The Somerset West Academy (Western Cape)

BalancingTouch Western Cape is situated in Somerset West in the beautiful Morningside suburban areas. The Academy is open plan with stunning views of the surroundings. It’s less than 5 minutes from the N2 and Stellenbosch.

Our students from Blouberg, Sea Point, Durbanville and Constancia areas say that the trip is relatively quick and easier than expected and is definitely worth the trip.

Our Somerset West Academy hosts exclusive courses and workshops quarterly (4 times per year, according to the Western Cape schedules) from Mondays to Fridays from 9 am to 12 pm and a second class from 1 pm to 4 pm. Spaces are limited to 8, and booking is essential.
